The Presidente Costa e Silva Bridge, popularly known as the Rio – Niterói Bridge, in normal flows, the average movement reaches 140 thousand vehicles / day. Traffic has a considerable increase on the eve and end of long holidays, since it is the way to go from the city of Rio de Janeiro to the highways that give access to the beaches of the Lakes Region. It is part of BR 101 and is under the jurisdiction of the 2nd Federal Highway Police Station (PRF).
With a length of 13.29 km, it has a toll and the minimum crossing time is 13 minutes.
